Conservation Education Programs

The education and public outreach portion of the SKSTMN Project is broad based and has programs tailored to local children and adults, tourists, resort owners, and developers. The SKSTMN conducts Sea Turtle Camp, which hosts 50-80 children annually. Educational presentations are delivered year round at local community centers, clubs, resorts, and schools.

Sea Turtle Camp Health Demo

Learning about sea turtle necropsies and anatomy under the direction of SKSTMN volunteer Kristi Hill. These animals died as the result of a disorientation event due to photopollution on Banana Bay in July 2016 and they were used for educational purposes at Sea Turtle Camp in an effort to make them as valuable as possible.
